Delays…Why?

Why so many delays?

Are you wondering why your project has been delayed?  We understand.  No one wants to be told that their project has been pushed back.

One reason is that we have learned that the unexpected is the one thing you can actually expect. Some projects take longer then we estimated.  Sometimes the weather delays us. Sometimes we find rot and damage that first has to be addressed.  Sometimes an employee gets sick and it pushes the estimated project finish date back.  All of these once-in-a-blue-moon situations tend to bunch up and push our schedule back. Please be assured that we work very hard not to over-schedule.

Our solution is to try to be as fair as possible. This is the reason that we try not to start a new project without finishing the last one.  We feel bad that this means that all the projects that are yet to be started experience a delay. We are a family run business that has worked in the same community for almost 25 years.  We view our clients as part of a community. One persons delay means the support of another community member keeping in mind that next time it may be your project that causes delays. We are pleased to say that our clients have always been very supportive of one another. This just one of the reasons we are so proud to be a part of the New River Valley community.

With all of the above in mind we offer estimated start dates.  These are to be viewed as approximate.  We are not able to give hard start dates.  We will try to give you a two week advance notice that your project start date is approaching.  We will then contact you again to give you a firm start date.  Depending on the weather we may only be able to give you a days advance notice before your firm start date.  Please let us know how we can make you more comfortable with scheduling your paint project. We are more than glad to work around big events, vacations and family emergencies.  Please just keep in touch with us about what is going to work best for you.
